A la Mar 2026: nautical courses in Villajoyosa for children and families
From 15 June to 15 September 2026, the Escola de la Mar of Villajoyosa hosts the regional programme "A la Mar 2026" with sailing, paddle surf, kayak and windsurf courses for children and adults. Perfect plan for families coming to the Costa Blanca in summer.
What does the programme include?
The Escola de la Mar of Villajoyosa, managed by the Valencian Government, offers short courses (3-5 days) and weekly summer camps. Disciplines: light sailing, paddle surf, sea kayak, windsurf, snorkel introduction. Equipment supplied, certified instructors, insurance included. Affordable prices (subsidised by the Generalitat).
For children aged 6-16
Children's camps are morning (9:00-13:00) or full day with lunch. Children learn basic sailing, kayak routes, water games, guided snorkel. Ideal plan for parents wanting free time in the morning and children enjoying outdoor activity with socialisation.
Consejos prácticos
- Book early: places are limited and fill quickly in July-August.
- Need to know how to swim for sailing and kayak courses.
- Bring swimsuit, towel, flip-flops, sunscreen, cap. The school provides the rest.
- Combine with Villajoyosa visit: the colourful houses centre is 15 min walk from the Escola.
