International community in El Campello area
El Campello, Alfaz del Pi, Albir and Villajoyosa together host one of the most active European resident communities on the Costa Blanca: Norwegians, Dutch, Brits, Germans and Belgians stay here between November and March. There are hiking groups, golf clubs, bridge clubs, a Norwegian club in Alfaz, supermarkets with Northern European products, Dutch restaurants and honorary consulates nearby. The easiest area not to feel alone during a long stay.
